The Club Champs consist of 10 age groups for females and males ranging from '8 & Under' to '17 & Over', with trophies awarded to the winners of each age group at the annual prizegiving. For each age group there are five swims which count towards trophy points (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and Individual Medley) so swimmers should ensure they enter as many age group events as possible. A description of the trophies that are competed for, and a guide to the events that contribute to the specific trophies, can be found here.
Events are swum as timed finals based on entry times, and points are awarded for each age group as follows:
- 1st = 6 points
- 2nd = 4 points
- 3rd = 2 points
Certificates are awarded for the first three placegetters in every event and these are presented at the prizegiving.
In addition to the individual events there is a cup for the family relay which is the final event of the meet. To enter the family relay you must have 3 swimmers from 2 generations i.e. 2 children and a parent, or 2 parents and a child.
