This is a great opportunity for newer swimmers to have a go at racing in a familiar environment. It’s also a great opportunity to try a new event, or swim something you haven’t done in a while.
We’d also love for our senior swimmers to join in, as it’s great role-modelling for the younger swimmers.
Entry is via this Google Docs form. You can check your entries here. If you have a problem with your entry, please contact Lisa McPhail on timetrials@swimtawa.org.nz.
There is a limit of 70 swimmers for this event due to the country being the red traffic light framework, and entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
If you are unwell you must stay home - no excuses! No one should be participating (or leaving home) if they are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or if required to self-isolate. Everyone aged 12 years 3 months and older will be required to show their vaccination pass as a condition to entry.
Timekeepers needed! To run the time trials we need a number of volunteers including 14 timekeepers. If you are able to assist, please email our time trial coordinator Lisa on: timetrials@swimtawa.org.nz.
With the current COVID restrictions spectators are not allowed so this is a great opportunity to help out and watch your kids participate in the event. We are also unable to run the sibling event due to the restrictions - we look forward to welcoming spectators and siblings back later in the year.
Please note that this event replaces Thursday night club swimming, so if your swimmer usually trains on Thursday, enter them into the Time Trials instead!
